Adam Dent joins Kerrigan Mechanical

Adam Dent, Project Manager, Kerrigan Mechanical

Adam Dent, B.Eng, has been appointed Project Manager at Kerrigan Mechanical, the multi-disciplined engineering contractors with a wide range of experience in commercial plumbing, heating, ventilation and extract systems. Kerrigan Mechanical evolved from Midland Heating and Plumbing, which was originally established in 1998, and has now commenced a new strategic development phase.

Adam is a DIT building services engineering graduate with broad experience across the entire building services spectrum. He has been involved in technical design and technical sales with Hevac Group, Ireland’s leading heating, plumbing and renewable energy suppliers, and now brings this experience to bear on the contracting sector.

As Project Manager with Kerrigan Mechanical Adam’s duties entail new client business development, negotiation of tenders, as-built design drawings and project management to include all aspects of the contract. This involves procurement of materials, overseeing installation, managing specialised sub-contractors, and all other requirements to legal completion of the project.

Hevac/Origen CIBSE YEN Champions

Team Hevac/Origen, overall winners of the CIBSE YEN five-a-side football tournament 2017, pictured with Derek Duff, C&F Quadrant (sponsor), Paul Martin, CIBSE Ireland Chairman and Adam Dent, Tournament Organiser.

Now in its third year, the annual CIBSE YEN five-a-side football tournament has become firmly fixed in the Institution’s calendar of events, with approximately 50 participants representing seven teams participating this year.

While the spirit of the competition is one of fun and good-natured rivalry, the desire to win soon takes over with some of the games becoming fiercely contested. That said, once teams leave the pitch all the niggles, slights and individual battles are soon forgotten.

Congratulations to tournament organiser Adam Dent and his YEN colleague Aaron Brogan, and of course a big thank you to Derek Duff and C&F Quadrant, who generously sponsored the event.

Finally, well done to all the players. Their respective performances were brave (or foolhardy), given that the temperature when the games commenced was in the early twenties. Winners on the night were Team Hevac/Origen.

After the presentation of the trophy everyone adjourned to the Metro Bar for food, refreshments, some teasing and networking.
